1. Each contestant will perform as a solo vocalist - the artist cannot be accompanied by additional vocalists or musicians.
2. Contestants will be allowed to use musical props (guitar or other portable instrument) during the event.
3. Each contestant will perform two songs with tracks provided by the venue(s).
4. Any artist who wishes to use tracks of their own must be first approved and agreed upon by Rockroom Karaoke.
5. Each contestant will arrive at the performance a minimum of one hour prior to the start of the competition in order to sign up and go over his or her song choices.

CONTESTANTS CONDUCT:

Each contestant will be asked to conduct him or herself in a professional manner during all performances. This includes:

• NO profanity during performances.
• NO sexual connotations during performance, all clothing must stay ON!
• NO racial slurs or derogatory remarks.
• NO microphone abuse such as swinging or dropping
• No badgering or conversing with any judges.
• NO personal interaction or relationship with ANY judge or the contestant may be subject to disqualification.

The contestant will accept the judge's decision as final.

A song list will be provided to all contestants to choose from.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that I am a Canadian Citizen.

I confirm that I am an amateur artist and am not presently performing with a band touring the circuit making money as a professional, on a regular basis.

• NOTE **(Amateur description): Never have signed with a major or independent (Indie) record label.  Never have signed a distribution deal or retail sales. Presently not touring with an established road band and/or making money as your main source of income. All artists having recorded his/her own personal promotionally CD is NOT considered to be a major Indie label and is acceptable. All artists having recorded their own personal CD's are "NOT" considered an independent or major label

I confirm that I am entering the competition of my own free will and will compete to the best of my ability, in a fair manner and observing the rules as stated above.

I hereby acknowledge I have read and understand the information provided to me any false information could result in my disqualification from the contest. Rockroom Karaoke has the right to make this decision at any time they feel necessary.
